Yes, it does feel good to ‘know’ more!! And you can shove your suitcase back under your bed… still plenty of time to pack!!
The ‘International Meeting’ of all the ASSE National Directors happens from September 14 to 22nd and I will be meeting with the Japanese staff there… asking how the host family and school connections are going for you and the other CDN students heading to Japan… it’s very early yet to hear but hey, I’m sure you are anxious to know as am I.

I emailed Ben to ask him about my departure date because I was planning to go on the Italy, Switzerland, Germany trip with my school during March Break, and this is the response I received:
Yo Anje…
According to the flight schedule develop last year at the International meeting of all Directors with ASSE, you are scheduled to depart for Japan on March 20, 2008. But remember you have to get to Los Angeles in order to connect with your International flight, so you may need a day before that in order to be there for the four hours necessary prior to the International flight departure.
Just ‘by the way’, your return to Los Angeles is schedule for January 12, 2009.
I was at a meeting with some of the North American staff two weeks ago and the Director from Japan was also present. He gave me an outline of information that I will be sending along to you and the other students going to Japan, towards the end of September. Interesting material on school, family and social life… a very different culture but one that has lots to see and do.
